![]() I don't know if that's the actual Critical Role stance on the differences between the two but I think it'd be a neat way to make both versions of events "canon." Whereas the actual Campaign One is the true events that actually happened to the real lovable misfits that make up Vox Machina. It isn't what actually happened on their adventures, it's what the bards of Tal'Dorei sing about, well after the fact, when performing the tale of those legendary heroes who saved Exandria. ![]() The Legend of Vox Machina is exactly that- the LEGEND. But that does raise questions of how "canon" the animated show is. This is a good thing, obviously, a 1-1 recreation wouldn't be as interesting and I'm glad the writers are making LoVM more narratively rounded out than what can be feasibly expected of a campaign where everyone needs to be involved and everything is largely improvised. So, obviously to anyone who's seen both, the events of The Legend of Vox Machina differ from what actually happened in C1.
